Talerie

Talerie is 47 years old. She has worked in the dog field for 24 years and has spend 2 years of that at Francis Kennels. She is ABKA Certified, Level 1. She was 4 dogs named Euro, Orry, Seusse and Furrie. When she is not working she enjoys dog training, competition in schutchund, agility, planting flowers, working in the yard, camping, obedience, tracking, and search and rescue volunteer work with teams in Xenia.

Sue is 44 years old and has worked for Francis Kennels for almost 3 years. Before she came to us she worked for a reputable groomer for 2 years. She is ABKA Certified, Level 2. She has 3 dogs of her own named Mishi, Faye and Bear. When she isn't working with us she enjoys redecorating her home. She has a funny pet story that she would like to share with us. "I have 2 American Eskimos. Faye is always totally white except for her feet. Bear is always a grayish color. We could never figure out why they were so different until last summer.... Faye loves to dig nice big holes in our side yard, thus the dirty feet. Bear sits and watches her. When she is satisfied with her hole, Bear goes and lays in it, thus the grayish color. Faye also digs smaller holes for my toy poodle, Mishi, but never for herself. I think she is trying to tell me something!"

Erin

Erin is 20 years old. She has worked with Francis Kennels for almost 4 years. She has completed a grooming course at Penn Foster. She has 2 cats named Shadow and Peanut Butter Chip (she is a calico and looks like peanut butter chip ice cream. When she is not working she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and woodworking.

Molly

Mollie is 17 years old. She has worked at Francis Kennels for almost 2 years. She is ABKA certified, Level 1. She has 4 dogs named Abby, Sadie, Boe, And Oscar. She has 7 cats named Snowball, Patches, Tigger, Punkin, Lillie, Maggie Mae, Whiskers. When she is not working she is spending time with family and friends.

Tiffani

Tiffni is 20 years old. She has worked at Francis Kennels for 4 years and has owned dogs for 9 years. She is ABKA certified, Level 1. She has one dog, a Bisho Frise named Nephi. When she is not working she enjoys painting, drawing, hiking, jet skiing, and anything that gets the adrenaline going. She has a funny pet story that she would like to share with us. "I was working in he back and I saw the cutest puppy. Naturally after going "Awww", I went in in the kennel to play with him. Well lucky for me I chose the cutest puppy with the fullest bladder. I bent down and as soon as the little guy hopped on my lap he began to "relieve" himself right on me. I tried to wipe and rinse off as much of the pee as I could but I had to work all day with a wet lap. Good times."

Chad

Chad is 31 years old. He has worked for Francis Kennels for 1 year and has a lifetime worth of pet ownership experience. Chad is ABKA certified, Level 1. He has 2 dogs. a Chi-Weenie named Chewy and a Corgi-Poo named Zoe. He also has 2 cats named Shadow and Smokey. When he is not working he enjoys playing video games, fishing and riding ATV's.

Joseph is 58 years old. He is new here at the kennel. He has 2 dogs named Bob and Nick. He also has 1 horse named Silver. When he is not working he enjoys trail riding.

Jenny

Jenny is 25 years old. She has worked for Francis Kennels for 2 years. Before she came to us she had years of experience riding and training horses. She graduated from Dayton Academy of Dog Grooming. She has a cat named Vegas, a horse named Slim, and a dog named Twiggy who is a Toy Fox Terrier. When she is not working she enjoys shopping, traveling and good food. Francis Kennels Owners

Francis Kennels and TranzPet are family owned and operated businesses.

Steve and Mary Grech opened Francis Kennels in 2002. Mary, an Occupational Therapist, was and still is the designer of the kennel. Steve worked for ten years as a Dispatcher for Greene County. They both dreamed of owning their own business and succeeded in Francis Kennels. They have three children, two of them are grown and the third is a twelve year old who helps at the kennel. Mary and Steve have four dogs of their own. When you visit Francis Kennels you will probably find Cookie sleeping by the front door and Sammy the Pug will greet you with his tough barking. Neither will bite you. They just bark to welcome you "in their own way".

Here at Francis Kennels, we truly believe that loving care and a lot of attention can overcome the most nervous of animals during their stay. We try as hard as we can to make every pet comfortable, and every stay as fun as possible.
